Hello, my name is Jon Hertz and I'm the owner and sole photographer at Jon Hertz Travel Photography.
I strive to combine my two favorite passions; photography and international travel, exploring places many only dream of visiting.
My photography is about people, adventure, light, and perspective. I am mesmerized by the fact that our truths are determined by our perspective, just as the color of the water is often determined by the angle from which we view the pond.
I focus on photographing people of diverse cultures and customs. I seek to document their lives before their customs and cultures are inevitably absorbed into the modern world.

I embark upon my adventures realizing I am not about to take a trip, rather that the trip is about to take me. With an open mind I find that adventures often occur when least expected. I seek new and different ways to explore our magnificent world hoping to create narratives through my photography. I seek to strike a balance between taking quality photographs and participating in the moment. I am always seeking to capture outstanding photographs while absorbing the magical experience of the time and place. I work to combine good camera techniques with sharp observational skills.
I often visit places with cultures very different from my own attempting to better understand the lives of people who experience the world through very different perspectives. These journeys have changed my life in such positive ways that I hope to inspire others to follow their dreams and experience the wonderful world we have been gifted.
My unique travel photography allows my viewers to accompany me on adventurous travel throughout the world experiencing vastly different customs and cultures through the lens of my camera.
